Above Joie de Vivre are four working Artist Loft Studios which are open to the public.
Also, The Race Street Gallery in the rear of Joie de Vivre features work by multiple, juried artists. Work includes pottery, photography, sculpture, paintings, wood carvings, hand crafted jewelry and more.

May and June: His technique called “direct metal sculpture” employs a combination of welding, forging & fabricating. He turns steel, iron, bronze & copper into tables, wall art, lawn ornaments & large water-related scenes for home, parks & businesses.

During May’s artist’s reception there will also be a writer’s book signing. Barbara Lockhart, author of two newly released books, “Mosey’s Field,” a picture book for children, & “Elizabeth Field,” a historical novel about the pre-Civil War era on the Eastern Shore, will sign books from 5 – 7. She will be accompanied by Heather Crow, the illustrator of “Mosey’s Field.”
A graduate of the MFA Program in Creative Writing at Vermont College, Lockhart has received Individual Artist Awards in Fiction for her novels and short stories. Her work in children’s literature, “Read to me, Talk with me” was sold nationally.
Her son, Paul Lockhart, metal sculptor, will be exhibiting at the gallery that same evening.
