Born and raised in Southern New Jersey, Joyce Kent’s earthy artistic flair is rooted in the beaches of Cape May and her Native American ancestry. Beginning with painting in Fort Benning, GA and Monterey, CA, flower arranging in Annapolis and culminating with jewelry design on the eastern shore of Maryland, Joyce’s jewelry draws in complex colors and use of raw materials from her awareness of the beauty of the people and nature that surrounds her. Retired after 31 years with the State of Maryland, Joyce resides with her husband, 2 dogs and 8 cats on a small farm near Harmony.
